Juliet

This gown was made for Juliet in Romeo y Juliet, a retelling of a classic Shakespeare set in 1840s in Alta California. I started by draping this dress and creating a boned understructure. The sleeves are made up of elastic shirring and an incased elastic band to allow as much mobility for the performer as possible.
