This costume is inspired by vintage circus wear, with cartridge pleats, illusion mesh, and a boned corset. To achieve these elements, I draped and flat patterned the pieces, dyed the illusion mesh and cotton bobbinet to match the performer’s skin, and worked closely with the Lighting Technician to incorporate an LED light and battery into the garment.
